The Story Behind the Program
 
For centuries, the people of Andalusia expressed their joys, sorrows, hopes, and struggles through flamenco — an art form born from the meeting of diverse cultures, including Jewish, Moorish, Romani, and Christian traditions.
At the same time, in Renaissance Florence, scholars sought to revive the spirit of ancient Greek drama, giving birth to one of the greatest artistic creations of Western culture: opera.
Although they emerged in different worlds, flamenco and opera share the same artistic ambition: to express the full depth of human emotion through music, drama, and extraordinary vocal expression.
Flamenco Opera Fusion brings these two traditions into a vibrant musical dialogue, revealing their surprising artistic connections while celebrating the shared emotional language that unites them.
